Please join Sabina Vavra, founder and creative director of Madison West Interiors, television personality, keynote speaker and creator of Creative Power Courses as she will present Blazing Your Path March 6, 2012 at Interior Design Chat. Focusing on the topic of topics like the walking through the door and getting it right, the process, your cocktail line, intrinsic and deliberate speaking techniques and building revenue streams.

Standing out among her contemporaries Sabina Vavra is the youngest designer to win the Platinum Award in Excellence in interior design by both the American Society of Interior Design (ASID) and Orange County Home Magazine in 2006. Continuing to redefine the world of design in Southern California Sabina’s designs have been featured in numerous national publications, including Coastal Living and Sunset Magazine, in recognition of outstanding interior design. Sabina’s formal education in art and design began at the age of 14 at the International School of  Zurich, Switzerland and ultimately led up to a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a second degree in Interior Design from the Interior Design Institute of  Newport Beach. She is an allied member of ASID and former board member of ASID-IDI.

Having a style dubbed as, “… showing panache and glamour…” by Orange County Home Magazine and considered to be a “Woman of Power” by 944 Magazine Sabina Vavra continues to redefine the world of interior design with her cultivated style, edgy approach, award winning designs, published articles and television appearances. Believing that surroundings influence and provoke feelings Vavra translates interiors into surroundings that support individual lifestyles.   Sighting the relaxed California lifestyle as her muse, Sabina creates sensory charged environments with an approachably fresh feeling.  Spaces that strike a cord, reflect personality and motivate a beautiful new lifestyle.

Growing up in up in beautiful Wine Country Sonoma County, California, Sabina Vavra was exposed to a broad range of gracious California living. The daughter of travel loving parents, Sabina was further exposed to the international world from a very young age and embraced the wide range of stimulating cultures and diverse lifestyles. Crediting these experiences to her savvy ability to adapt to the sophisticated attitude and esteemed taste of her high profile client base, Sabina launched her award-winning boutique interior design firm, Madison West Interiors in 2004.  Specializing in luxury residential and commercial projects Vavra has since broadened her reaches to the world of public speaking and television.

In 2009 Sabina transitioned her interiors to the world of television.  Co-staring along side Keyshawn Johnson in 11 episodes of A&E, “Tackling Design.”  Followed by the 2011 series “Fix This Kitchen, “ airing on A&E in the fall of 2011 Sabina continues to design both on and off screen.   Additionally Sabina writes on the field of her expertise for several publications including a monthly column for the Home section of the Orange County Register.  Creative Power Course is the latest endeavor stemming from the culmination of Vavra’s experiences. Committed to the development of a practical based educational program Vavra’s latest focus is on enabling emerging design professionals reach new heights.

Sabina currently resides in Orange County, California with her golden retriever Star. When not redesigning her world you can find Vavra volunteering with Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, planning her next international travel destination, or on the quest for the next best chocolate soufflé.
