#IntDesignerChat April 22 Guest Host @CaroleShashona Carole Shashona Topic: Sensory Whispers: Design In Harmony

17 Apr

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

#IntDesignerChat Guest Host Carole Shashona @CaroleShashona

Tuesday April 22, 2014 Interior Designer Chat’s Guest Host is Carole Shashona  and her  Topic:  Sensory Whispers: Design In Harmony.

Sleek and chic—East meets West—describes the frequent juxtaposition in all of Carole Shashona’s interiors. After sharpening her insight in decades of work using professional interior design skills combined with the ancient Feng Shui tenets, she has created a technique you won’t find anywhere else. She is an expert in how energy flows in and around each room, and her sensory enhancement allows her to read what normally cannot be seen. Each part of the space is a component of a larger whole, and this must be taken into account at the earliest stage of the design process to insure that proportion and symmetry are in balance. Style, function, and productivity are primary considerations in this process, as is eco-friendly design. Imagine the energy in your home or building as a prism; the faceted sides of a prism capture the light in perfect harmony Carole’s design studies provide insight to capture the energy within each room design; applying specific colors and furnishings then enhances and brings harmony within the walls.

Carole is twice-designated Grand Master in the art of Feng Shui, the ancient Asian philosophy of creating healing environments through the placement of objects, art, and accessories, as well as achieving architectural balance. This unique mix of being an accredited associate ASID Interior Designer and a Feng Shui Grand Master is fundamental to her design philosophy. From Mediterranean to left bank Paris to cool Seventies modern with Asian Chic twists, she custom designs and scales in addition to purchasing fabric, wallpaper, and furniture for hotel corporate, and residential projects.

Carole’s approached, coined “Sensory Design”, is derived from formulas and “trade secrets” fundamental to the art of Feng Shui and translated from ancient manuscripts by Grand Master Leung—Carole’s Feng Shui master. The translations were handed to her in a traditional Feng Shui ceremony in Hong Kong. These sacred texts are translated from the original ancient silk manuscripts in master Leung’s private collection. The original Chou Silk Manuscripts are currently housed in the private collection a the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington, C.C.. Carole integrates these ancient formulas into every design project. The result is an artful body of work, which is both timely and timeless creating what she calls The Power of Wellness.

How do you build, grow and nurture an online community?  How are you using the power of social media for communications and connections,  that are emerging into relationships?   Tuesday,  April 8, 2014 @IntDesignerChat will take to twitter to discuss;  How to use the influence of social media to create meaningful relationships with others and maintain a consistent focus on building your brand.  Surprisingly there are still designers, individuals, and companies that are resisting social media.  These individuals and firms are missing out on a free opportunity to build a following.

Spotting opportunities to build your brand,  requires being generous.  If all you do is take, people will stop responding to you.  To grow in social media you need to establish partnerships with other top influencers in your niche.  And provide your audience with quality content that aligns with their interests and passions.  Are you seizing opportunities to build your brand?

Social Media is powerful in that it helps to make connections, build relationships, and even build a business! Any one can hop on the social media train and reach out, get engaged and get connected. Reach out and say hello!  Take the opportunity to establish new contacts and relationships.  Whether you’re a professional designer, artist,  architect,  manufacturer, vendor, or a blogger… establishing social media influence, requires investing  your time and attention to creating your brand.

Over the past several years, Interior Designer Chat has worked hard to build and grow a vibrant and interactive community on social channels including  Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google+.  Building a following takes effort and time, and there are no shortcuts.
